Recently received this katana ..The blade is really quite nice, the fit and finish is tight neat and very precise,ito is alternating and tight,habaki tight and well fitted fuchi&kashira done quite elegantly the tsuka is what is called a little refined a little thinner and smaller in hand with good feel to it.Allows for good controll and makes it easy to whip the blade around..The tsuba I like it’s thin and complements the over theme with the blossom flowers on it…The blade considering this is their entry level one is quite good the shinogi has been done well with the hada been faintly visible thru it no wing into the shinogi-ji the hada becomes much more prominent until the edge of the hamon line.The hamon line then whitens to a crisp line between the ha&shonogi area ..the kisaki is nice apears to be chu kisaki and has Boshi with a little turn back ..very nicely done…The polishing has been done reasonably well I’d say they’d done quite good on it..The blade feels quite agile and light in my hands I can whip it around no problems with directional changes or stopping. i do have large hands and am quite a large man….the saya is nice it again feels more refined that other Chinese saya thinner in hand the inside is nearer the sageo well tied too.Now no sword is perfect so can’t give 5 stars to any sword but i defiantly give a solid 4.5 stars and it earns a high place in my collection..remarks or things I’d maybe change the folding is nice and well done maybe if folded an extra time it would pack the lines a little finer I’m not an expert on forging however..And the saya the fittings on it would be nice if they were horn fittings…It was a pleasure able experience withe v-sey their communication was good which is one of the most important things to me the shipping was quick and well tracked the katana arrived safely to my door and shipping time was less than two week 10 days from when vsey posted to the morning the courier passed it to me at my door in Australia…Over all I’m very pleased with it I love to go and look at it each day and am still noticing little details…Thanks again for the pain free purchase..😁
