Cherry Blossom-themed forged, clay tempered Kobuse Katana is made in the traditional forging method with a composite structure. Kobuse structure is similar to a meat sandwich. It is wrapped with high-hardness steel to ensure that the blade will not break and become a flying knife during chopping. This will greatly improve the safety of the katana when you use it.

The blade’s quality excels in its shape, hamon, and overall furniture fitment. The deepest part of the sori sits around the habaki/tsuba; a distal taper profile is present. Folding lines, a masame style hada, are impressive & visible on the hamon. It seems mine being the exception, the blade’s polish beyond the hamon, style of hada, as well as tsuba model is not the same as the product images as of writing this review. Still, you’ll be surprised at the types of activities this type of blade will reveal under the sun.
